LANSING, MI – November 6, 2024 –— Following the defeat of the Eaton County Tax Limitation Alteration Proposal, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) urges Eaton County leaders to immediately prioritize the establishment of a financial health team to address the county’s budgetary challenges.

With only a few days remaining until Election Day 2024 and voting well underway, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) is excited to share an Election Primer, courtesy of our partners at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) announces its support for the Eaton County Tax Limitation Proposal, which will be presented to voters on November 5, 2024. The proposal seeks to increase the county’s tax levy by an additional 3.0 mills, generating approximately $12 million annually to fund essential services, address budget shortfalls, and support critical public safety and infrastructure.
