LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Regional Chamber-Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) is pleased to congratulate our endorsed candidates on their successful campaigns in the primary election. Of the 39 candidates that the LRC-PAC endorsed in the primary, 36 (92%) were successful in their election efforts and move onto the general election. This bipartisan group of elected officials is dedicated to working collaboratively with the business community to foster a favorable business climate and develop solutions for the challenges we all face.

“We are thrilled to see our endorsed candidates achieve success in the primary election,” said Steve Japinga, senior vice president of public affairs of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “These leaders have demonstrated a commitment to collaboration and effective governance, which are crucial for overcoming everyday obstacles and enhancing our region’s business environment.”

“This diverse group of officials represents a strong commitment to bipartisan cooperation and problem solving,” Japinga continued. “Their victories signify a shared vision for a thriving community where businesses and workers can prosper together. We look forward to continuing our work with them to ensure our region remains a favorable place for businesses to grow and succeed.”

The LRCC remains dedicated to advocating for policies and leaders that support a robust economic environment. As we move towards the general election in November, we are confident that these candidates will continue to prioritize the needs of the business community and work towards sustainable, long-term solutions.

LRC-PAC will be reviewing and possibly endorsing additional races as part of our third round of endorsements. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5.

The LRC-PAC’s endorsement process includes a review of a candidate’s performance, a written questionnaire, and, in some cases, an in-person interview. Only after this process is completed and a vote of the LRC-PAC Board is taken can a candidate be endorsed and be considered for financial support. The LRC-PAC is a separate identity from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. The LRC-PAC does not use member dues for political activities.
