Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Endorsements for the November 8 General Election
The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) has announced additional endorsements for the 2022 election cycle.
“The November election is one of the most critical elections in recent years because of the changes to districts at the federal, state, and county level,” said Tim Daman, president & CEO, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “With these new districts, there are several candidates running for different offices, so it is incredibly important to ensure that we are endorsing candidates who will work side-by-side with the business community in meeting priorities that support advancing economic growth, job creation, and working across the aisle on key policies that impact the health of our economy.”
“We are particularly pleased with the bipartisan nature of the candidates we are backing this cycle,” said Steve Japinga, senior vice president of public affairs, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “This is a critical time in our region, making the experience and ability to make thoughtful decisions about difficult issues particularly important. We believe these candidates are well-positioned to continue to work towards addressing economic challenges, accelerating our recovery, and promoting opportunity together.”

The LRC-PAC’s endorsement process includes a review of a candidate’s past performance, a written questionnaire, and, in some cases, an in-person interview. Only after this process is completed and a vote of the LRC-PAC Board is taken can a candidate be endorsed and be considered for financial support.
