Integrated Strategies to Receive Outstanding Small Business Award
Kositchek’s Named First Winner of Chamber Legacy Award

Prestigious Awards to be Presented at Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

(Lansing, MI) – The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) proudly announced that Lupe Izzo has been selected as the recipient of 2010 Community Service Award and the 2010 Outstanding Small Business Award will be presented to Integrated Strategies Incorporated. Kositchek’s has been selected as the first winner of LRCC’s new Legacy Award.  All three awards will be presented during the Lansing Regional Chamber’s 99th Annual Dinner, which takes place from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 24 at the Michigan State University Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

The Community Service Award honors outstanding individuals who give their time and expertise, go above and beyond their own field of endeavor to contribute to the community, and demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in all they do. The Community Service Award also recognizes individuals who have been an inspiration to the community, both in their profession and in their efforts to make the Lansing region a better community.

Lupe Izzo has had a successful career in business and community service.  Lupe owned Rain Soft Water Treatment Company and earned many sales and service awards including the Michigan Minority Business Award in 1990.  Lupe has been a dedicated community volunteer, currently serving many organizations including the Lansing Food Bank, Sparrow Health System, MSU Safe Place, St. Thomas Aquinas, Coaches for Cancer, Volunteers of America and Ele’s Place. Lupe tirelessly volunteers her time as a speaker/motivator, fundraiser and mentor in the community.

The Outstanding Small Business Award honors a local small business that meets the criteria of stability, innovation, commitment to the community, perseverance, and commitment to diversity. 

Integrated Strategies is focused on supply chain, strategic sourcing, logistics and lean/six sigma. Most recently, Integrated Strategies worked to establish double digit value creation for the Michigan Department of Corrections the Supply Chain Transformation (SCT). Integrated Strategies methodologies and tools are transforming how business is done. Integrated Strategies is currently achieving SCT goals in the areas of food service, offender transport, laundries and fleet/scheduling.

The Chamber Legacy Award honors a long-standing Chamber member, recognizing their investment within the organization and its loyalty to the Greater Lansing region. The Lansing Regional Chamber is pleased to present the first annual Chamber Legacy Award to Kositchek’s. Kositchek’s has been in business for 145 years and a Chamber member since 1939. Henry, Louis and Richard Kositchek laid a strong foundation for the company and is now in the hands of the fourth generation.
