Junior Achievement

Thank You for your interest in becoming a Junior Achievement of Mid Michigan Classroom volunteer! Junior Achievement of Mid Michigan serves K-12 students in the Tri-County area with hands on programs which teach students about business, entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and financial preparedness.  The mission of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

This would entail a time commitment of: two hours for a training on presenting JA then 35-55 minutes in the classroom depending on the class (K-12) for a number of visits and any prep time on your own prior to go into the classroom. For the elementary school classes the days and time you set up with the teacher, however, the middle and high school classes the times are set and the days can vary according to your and the teachers schedules. The number of times you are required to present depend on the JA Program you select to present: the number of activities range from 5 visits for grades K-5th, 6-8 for grades 6-8 visits and 8-12 classroom visits for high school.

JA also has three special events we do each year to help raise the monies necessary to continue to provide JA programs to the area students. We would welcome you participation in any of these events as well. They are:
