2010 Event Descriptions
Annual Dinner
With nearly 1,000 attendees, this is the regions premiere business celebration and networking event. It is the must-attend event of the year for Lansing's business leaders. This program includes remarks from the Chambers incoming board Chair, honors the outgoing Chair and board members, followed by the presentation of the prestigious ATHENA, Community Service and Small Business Awards. The dinner and presentations are followed by a nationally recognized speaker/entertainer.
Business Education Series
The Business Education Series is designed to provide small business owners, entrepreneurs, managers and executives with educational awareness and advice on a variety of topics including: marketing, technology, social media, human resources and work-life balance. Experienced professionals present both practical concepts and creative business ideas to navigate the dynamics that lead to success in the world of commerce. Series will include 8-10 events.
Celebration of Regional Growth
A must-attend annual celebration of regional growth recognizing businesses for new economic investment and job creation in the Greater Lansing region.
Chamber 360
New, current and prospective members are encouraged to attend the quarterly Chamber 360 to learn about the full range of Chamber benefits and how to maximize your investment. Meet our staff and find out how we are working for you through business growth and advocacy initiatives, exclusive member benefit programs, member exposure, networking and educational event opportunities.
Economic Club of Greater Lansing
The Economic Club of Greater Lansing features nationally recognized speakers covering a broad range of business related topics from economic trends and business success stories to the latest management and leadership techniques. The Economic Club lunches provide an excellent opportunity to network with more than 350 of the area's top decision-makers, including key community, business, and university leaders. The Club meets nine times a year from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the Kellogg Center.
Executive Welcome
This VIP reception for new local executives is an outstanding opportunity to reach the top community leaders and new local executives. The free event is held quarterly on a needed basis.
Healthcare Forum
This informative program features local health care leaders as they discuss future trends, challenges facing the healthcare industry, delivering quality health care and examples of small, mid-size, and large businesses that have successfully decreased employee health related expenses through wellness and health management programs. This forum is in partnership with the Lansing Economic Club and includes a keynote speaker and panel sessions.
Lansing Open - Golf Outing
Lansing's premier golf scramble, the Lansing Open attracts hundreds of golfers each year. The outing is held on two courses simultaneously and is a great opportunity for members, guests and volunteers to network and conduct business in a relaxed, fun environment with the area's top business leaders.
Leaders, Executives and Entrepreneurs Breakfast
Learn "the rest of the story" from the region's leading executives. The quarterly roundtable breakfasts will feature exclusive, intimate and interactive dialogues with CEOs and VIPs. Hear from the region's most influential movers & shakers as they describe their path to success and offer invaluable advice on professional development, skills, and self-improvement.
Legislative Dinner
This premier legislative event unites Michigan's local chambers and their key business members and leaders with legislators and state chamber officials for an evening of networking and information. It provides local chamber of commerce executives an exciting opportunity to invite their area legislators to attend the banquet and meet with 300 member constituents from the community.
Member Mixers
Member Mixers are hosted by Chamber members and are informal events giving the host an opportunity to showcase their business and members the opportunity to network and stay in tune with the business community. Mixers are held at various locations on the second Tuesday of each month from 5-7 pm.
Ten Over the Next Ten
This program seeks to showcase the area's top young professionals who, over the next 10 years, will contribute significantly to our community and become tomorrow's leaders. Brought to you by the Lansing Regional Chamber and Grand River Connection.
Ultimate Mixer
This event is a larger version of our monthly member mixers that travels throughout the Lansing Region. This event will attracts over 450 attendees who will enjoy local culinary delights, entertainment, and business to business networking.
