Healthcare Forum

The challenges of reforming the nation's healthcare system were evident during discussions at the second annual Healthcare Forum sponsored by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. The half-day forum featuring representatives of regional healthcare, insurance and legal organizations was held at the MSU Kellogg Center on October 21.

For the second consecutive year, the Lansing Economic Club combined its monthly luncheon with the Healthcare Forum. Peter Pratt of Public Sector Consultant provided an overview of the healthcare reform debate in Washington D.C. Pratt predicted that a reform package would probably pass Congress early next year, but also forecasted that it would not go far enough to solve issues of healthcare quality and cost reform.

The inaugural Healthcare Forum took place on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.
